Privacy Policy

The short version
The simulator runs entirely in your browser. Images you load into the Fish Vision Camera are never uploaded, never transmitted, and never seen by us or anyone else — the pixels are read by JavaScript on your own machine and discarded when you close the tab.
What we collect
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 processes usage data such as pages viewed, rough geography, device type, and referrer. IP anonymisation is on, Google Signals is off, and ad personalisation is off. If you decline, Google Analytics code is not loaded. SeeGoogle's privacy policy.
We do not run advertising, we do not operate a newsletter, we do not have user accounts, and we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Cloudflare performance measurement
Cloudflare serves and protects the site and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics. Its performance beacon measures page views and loading performance without cookies and without tracking visitors across sites. It loads independently of your Google Analytics choice. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
What is stored on your device
Your cookie choice is kept in localStorage underhft_cookie_consent. The Tank also saves your current lure underhft_lure_grid so the Fish can evaluate it. Both values stay in your browser; clearing site data removes them.
Share links encode the lure and selected Fish conditions in the URL fragment after#hft=. Browsers do not send fragments in page requests; the link is copied only when you choose a share button. Shared links reveal the design and conditions to anyone who receives them.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes request metadata such as IP address and user agent to serve and protect the site, as any web host must.
Your rights
Under GDPR and UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. In practice we hold essentially none — but ask, and we will tell you exactly what exists. Under CCPA/CPRA: we do not sell or share personal information.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
